Tell us about your job
I really enjoy the challenges it brings and the opportunity to make a success of what I do. There is a fantastic work environment here where people are passionate and motivated.
My role as Field Sales Manager offers great flexibility. I have the option to work from home two days a week but spend a great deal of time out of the office meeting retailers and supporting my team with selling.
Work also includes preparing field plans, coaching new team members and ensuring that our high standards are maintained and we continue to deliver exceptional results. Communication is key, so I keep in regular contact with clients, provide feedback to improve stock availability in depots and highlight great work efforts as well as sales results.
We also keep retailers up to speed on the sport nutrition category and advise them how best to promote and sell products. In addition to sales, I provide follow-up support and POS to boost visibility in-store – activities that help to strengthen our relationship with retailers.
What is it like to work for Instore?
The company gives people the opportunity to show what they can do and helps them really make a difference. I am a perfect example of this. My job is dynamic and requires resilience to meet the challenges – and that’s something I like a great deal. It also offers its employees a fantastic selection of training courses on the Smiths News My Learning Platform – a brilliant resource for everyone here wishing to expand and grow their knowledge.

Before coming to work for Instore, I had 10 years’ experience in sales in Bulgaria, where I was National Field Sales Manager for brands such as PepsiCo and Diageo. I then took a career break to raise my children and moved to London with my family in 2012. I then studied for an MSc in Marketing at Leicester University before deciding to resume my career.
I became a Field Sales Representative for Instore to gain experience and an understanding of how UK retail is structured. In a team of two, I worked on a trial project to develop the company’s service beyond magazines and newspapers. I was then promoted to Field Sales Manager in 2019 to lead the Glanbia Retail Team.
What do you do in your downtime?
A lot of my time is spent looking after my 11-year-old son, who has just started at grammar school, and my six-year-old daughter. We also have a Golden Retriever that we like taking for walks. I love reading books, play piano and aim one day to learn all Chopin’s Nocturnes.
