National Sales Manager – Glanbia

Paul has worked for Instore since 2020 as a National Sales Manager for the Glanbia account. Looking after a national gym team, retail team and distributing to national gym chains and sundries – Paul’s role has kept him busy!

Tell us about your job

My role involves monitoring sales performance, implementing effective sales strategies and overseeing the daily operations of the Glanbia sales team. I communicate with many members of the team daily; therefore, I am required to keep up to date with all aspects of sports nutrition, category management and the gym marketplace.

Additionally, my work includes all aspects of team management; from training, field plans, project oversight and planning, as well as looking after recruitment. I enjoy the varied pace within my role knowing that each day brings fresh ideas and new challenges.

What is it like to work for Instore?

I can confidently say that my colleagues are some of the nicest people I’ve ever worked with, the training resources and networking support from Smiths News is also invaluable.

I enjoy the autonomy and variety within Instore, I have built strong relationships with Glanbia and I believe that this factor has contributed to significant growth within this account.

Tell us about your career path

Prior to working for Instore, I had held multiple management positions in several different Field Marketing agencies. Instore has enabled me to use a wide variety of skills from my management toolkit and this has grown my confidence significantly. My hope is that in the years to come I will be able to progress to Account Director or Head of Sales for Instore.

What do you do in your downtime?

I love camping with my family and spending time with friends at festivals during the summer. I also enjoy playing badminton and spending time at my local gym.
